About Deb Eslinger

Deb Eslinger is a purpose-driven leader, certified speaker, trainer, and coach with decades of experience spanning nonprofit strategy, operations management, and leadership development. She currently serves as Vice President of Operations for both EQUIP Leadership Inc. and the Maxwell Leadership Foundation, where she leads organizational health, financial oversight, board governance, strategic planning, and global transformation initiatives.

Deb is certified in multiple Maxwell Leadership Learning Systems, including the widely acclaimed DISC Assessment (Maxwell DISC), Everyone Communicates Few Connect, and the 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth. Her coaching and facilitation work has equipped leaders across business, education, government, and community sectors to build high-trust cultures, lead with character, and grow with intentionality.

Beyond her executive and facilitation work, Deb creates her own content — including original keynotes on self-leadership, boundary-setting, communication, and the internal shifts that separate good leaders from truly great ones. Her teaching style is grounded, relational, and remarkably practical. She doesn’t traffic in theory. She hands leaders tools they can use Monday morning.

Deb also brings a gift for event emceeing — creating environments that feel warm, professional, and energizing from start to finish.
About Deb Eslinger

SPEAKING TOPICS

The Unbothered Leader — Original Content

High-performing leaders often carry more than they should — pressure, expectations, other people’s problems. This keynote helps leaders identify what they’re unnecessarily carrying, learn to lead from a place of clarity and calm, and establish the internal boundaries that protect both their effectiveness and their well-being. A crowd favorite, this talk reframes “unbothered” not as apathy, but as hard-won emotional maturity.

Strong Leaders Don’t Overcarry: Boundaries, Responsibility & Emotional Maturity

Great leaders care deeply — but caring without boundaries leads to burnout, resentment, and blurred accountability. Deb teaches leaders to carry the right responsibilities and confidently release the rest. Audiences leave with a stronger understanding of emotional ownership, healthy boundaries, and what it looks like to lead with authority instead of anxiety.

Healthy Conflict: Turning Tension into Traction

Conflict avoided is influence lost. Deb teaches leaders how to flip their relationship with conflict — moving from avoidance or aggression toward honest, productive dialogue that builds trust. This is especially powerful for teams, leadership cohorts, and organizational culture initiatives.

Women’s Leadership: Burnout, Boundaries & Becoming

Created for women in leadership, this session speaks honestly about the unique pressures women carry — in the workplace, at home, and in their own minds. Deb combines personal insight with practical strategy to help women lead with confidence, set boundaries without guilt, and sustain their energy for the long haul.

The Shifts That Matter Most — John C. Maxwell Content

Drawing on the transformational principles of John C. Maxwell, this session guides leaders through the mindset shifts that separate ordinary leadership from extraordinary impact. Participants leave with fresh perspective on growth, intentionality, and what it means to move from a “have to” to a “get to” leadership posture.

Communication: Connection Before Content

Inspired by the Maxwell principle that everyone communicates but few truly connect, this session helps leaders and teams move from transactional communication to transformational connection. Practical, memorable, and applicable across every level of an organization.

10 Steps to Leadership Success — Student Leadership

Designed specifically for high school students, this engaging keynote introduces the foundational principles of character-based leadership. Students discover what it means to lead themselves before they lead others — a talk built for FBLA, student government, and leadership programs alike.

Motives Matter: Leading When Intentions Aren’t Clear

Leadership gets complicated when motives — our own or others’ — are mixed or hidden. Deb equips leaders with discernment tools to read beneath behavior, navigate uncertainty with integrity, and respond wisely rather than react emotionally. This is values-based leadership at its most practical.

Priority Management: Leading in a World That Never Stops

Busyness is not the same as productivity, and urgency is not the same as importance. Deb helps leaders identify what truly deserves their time and energy — and build systems that protect it. This session addresses burnout at its root: not just overwork, but misaligned priorities.

DISC: Understanding Yourself and Others

Using the Maxwell DISC assessment framework, Deb helps individuals and teams understand their behavioral styles, communication preferences, and blind spots. This training is transformational for team-building, conflict resolution, and organizational culture development.

Who Deb Speaks To

Deb’s message travels well. Her content resonates across sectors and stages of leadership — from the C-suite to the classroom, from community organizations to national conferences.
High-Capacity Leaders & Political Figures

High-Capacity Leaders & Political Figures

Leaders operating at the highest levels of influence — elected officials, executives, and policy makers — face unique pressures that most leadership content doesn’t address. Deb speaks directly to the internal cost of high-stakes leadership: the weight of constant performance, the blurring of identity and role, and the need for sustainable, character-driven leadership. Her grounded, non-performative style earns trust quickly in rooms that have heard every talking point before.
School Administrators & Educational Leaders

School Administrators & Educational Leaders

Principals, superintendents, and education leaders carry enormous responsibility for school culture, staff morale, and student outcomes. Deb’s work on priority management, healthy conflict, communication, and burnout prevention speaks directly to the pressures of educational leadership. She is equally effective in professional development days, administrator retreats, and district-wide leadership initiatives.
Leaders as Parents

Leaders as Parents

The skills that make someone an effective leader at work don’t automatically translate to the home. Deb bridges this gap with wisdom on communication, emotional maturity, boundaries, and the long game of influence — helping parents who lead in the world also lead well at home. This audience is particularly responsive in faith-based, community, and family-oriented conference contexts.

Corporate Teams & Organizational Leaders

From mid-level managers to C-suite leadership teams, Deb’s content on motives, accountability, communication, and culture-building drives measurable change in team dynamics and organizational health. Her DISC-based training is especially effective for team-building workshops and leadership retreats.

Student Leaders & Future Business Leaders

Deb is passionate about developing the next generation of leaders early. Her student-specific content — developed for FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), student government, and leadership academies — meets young leaders where they are and equips them with the character and competence to lead with excellence.
